Hi I'm Melissa and today I'm reviewing the Alpha Omega Elite Car Seat. This is convertible car seat which means it can be used rear facing and forward facing. It rear faces up to 35 pounds and 36 inches tall. It also forward faces up to 40 pounds with the harness and 43 inches tall and then once your child reaches that point it can be used as a belt positioning booster seat with these straps here or you just have to tie it and then put the seatbelt across it and it positions the seatbelt correctly and that can be done up to 100 pounds. This car seat has a lot of nice features. It has the cup holder so when your child gets older they can put their sippy cup or even a regular cup in it. It does have a five-point harness for rear facing and forward facing. One of my favorite parts about this car seat is the adjustable straps where you do not have to rethread the straps. You just rotate this in and slide it up or down according to whatever height your child is at. You never have to uninstall in to rethread the straps. The only one that has to be rethreaded is this one between the legs here and that has three different positions and it's very easy to change. Like I said it can be rear facing and when it's rear facing you're actually going to have it in your seat like this. There's the button on the front that allows it to recline. It has to be reclined and you position it in your seat. Now it has its lines to boost on the belt position right here that tells you when it's leveled. When these are leveled to the ground your car seat will be leveled and sometimes you will need something like a rolled up towel or chunk of a pool noodle to get it at the right angle but it's very easy to install especially if you have latch which is the lower anchors and threader system. They are just anchors that are in the crease of your seat and these little buckles right here just snap right into the anchor on each side and then once they're hooked in their then you just tighten it down and your all set. Again if you're forward facing you just turn completely around hook those in there. You also want to make sure that you hook the seat back in an upright position rather than reclined. That threader strap hook that around there and then push it down. When you're installing it you'll probably want to kneel in it to get a good tight install and even possibly take it to recheck out because approximately 90 of car seats being used are being used incorrectly. So anyway this here there's a button here all you do is push the button and pull it here to get extra length on the shoulder straps and if you taken them down you just pull the strap.

It has this nice little cushion headrest here for the child and it's very comfortable seat. It also has armrest that slide down on both sides. You just pull them out and twist and then they have their own armrest. This seat we paid about $140.00 for but it is well worth it because it can be used from basically the day the baby comes home in towel. They are almost out of the car seat all together so it really is a good value and I think I'll get my son and show you exactly how easy it is to strap your child in securely. This is Zach and he's gonna help me show you just how easy it is to use this car seat. We're gonna unbuckle the straps and then we're gonna set him up in the car seat and we need to raise these bends up so they're high enough for him. There we go and then you put one arm through.

As you can see it's kind of tight so that's where the button comes in. You can just push that button and then pull and you get the actual length on both sides and you put the other arm through and connect the chest clip and then these ones that come from the side snap right down into the strap between the legs.

We actually need a little more room and he's all strapped in and secure. This has its really nice pads right here that keeps the belt from chipping at the neck. In his other car seat he doesn't have that and at times he gets little red marks and you just tighten that down and he's all set. He's got his own little cup holder and a nice cushion pillow here for his head and when we're moving he actually likes the car seat. To get him back out you just press the button release the chest strap and he can climb right on out. Really it's a little more money than some car seats but overall it's very worth it. It will last you a long time.
